My joiner built me a staircase, but skimped on the support for the steps, so I'm adding some support.

Couldnt get a drill close enough to the underside of the steps so after cocking up one step, I bit the bullet and went to B & Q to look for the shortest drill I could find.

Plumped for a Dremel 300 with accessories, and the way the thing was displayed, I had no way of knowing what the accessories were.

Anyway, when I opened the box, I find that one of the accessories is a flexishaft attachment which has an even shorter, and narrower head than the Dremel itself:

£49.95 from B & Q.

or if you've got a dremel, here's the flexishaft on its' own:

I couldn have done this job, as well as I have, without it, and I'm sure it will have a million uses on board Rogue - getting at all those inaccessible spots - and I didnt even know I was buying it.

Funny how some things work out

Or there is this for even harder to reach applications

The best attachment for hard to access places is, without doubt, to be attached to the designer. It's half a pound of semtex and a remote detonator.

Regards

Richard.
