I suppose we all have our dream yacht but in 2009 I had to update mine after seeing a new Dutch yacht design in Brighton marina. Seven weeks later I passed the same boat 300m off in Brittany.
I chatted to its owner in Brighton and he gave me a copy of the builder's glossy brochure but after an hour of oogling I handed it back since the owner was off on a world cruise and presumably had limited supplies of the glossy.
Now I cannot find the web site, can anyone help?
The design was a Westwind or Bestwind 55 (maybe it was a 50). The example I saw in Brighton was hull no.3 and was built in GRP which was a first for the Dutch yard that had previously only built metal hulls.
