Much of the pleasure we get out of cruising is the dreaming we do over the winter months. One evening often comes to mind on a still summer evening in Adrigole harbour on the north side of Bantry Bay SW Cork. We were at anchor all alone in this small natural harbour, swam in the evening sun and then ate Paella of fresh caught Mackerel and mussels picked from the dinghy with a cold bottle of Muscadet as the sun went down. Night crossings ploughing through a phosphorescent sea being mesmorised by the binnacle in a well set up boat also spring to mind. What are your golden moments?
