drawer latches

Have Westerly Fulmar with poor mechanism for preventing drawers opening; ball type catches which are unsuitable for a boat. Where can I access a catalogue for such items?

Try a company called "Hafle" (maybe with 2 "f"s) They supplied the drawer latches for the Typhoon -which seem to work very well. I don't know where they are but an internet search should locate them. They make hinges, latches etc for kitchens and office furniture. Failing that, a DIY store.

Try "Bird Hook" cupboard catches, shown as item 10034 price £1.69 in 2001 Cruisermart Catalogue. I understand that Cruisermart are back trading now - maybe with an altered name.

West Marine perhaps? Their catalogue has 7 pages of "cabinet hardware" including a variety of catches. Be wary of household DIY stores fittings as they are mostly electroplated mild steel, and will quickly rust.

Force 4 in London - opposite Victoria rail staion has a selection of boaty catches and hinges.
