Hello. Has anyone come up with a clever way to fit one of these Drainman pumps that doesn't rely on the mooring rope?
I remember reading a post from ages ago where someone said you could maybe rig them via a bucket overboard....but there were no posts after that so Im afraid maybe all those that wrote and followed that post are no longer able to write due to submersion:unsure:?@?
I'm a bit wary of useing the pump attachment as the main holding rope.
One option would be to have a "safety" line connecting either side but I think that might interference with the operation of the drainman?
Any views much appreciated, I will try it out and if it works I will come back with a solution. If you hear nothing, then unfortunately I will have joined the submerged!

Yes. I was thinking maybe that would work. I'm a bit unsure if there's enough integral strength in the drainman for that? Its rated at 1ton. The boat is 720kg inc outboard and things. Which prob gives it a pulling weight exceeding 1000kg.
If I can't think of another way I will try that and see how it goes.

Tried useing a liter bottle on the otherside , like the bucket method mentioned somewhere but its not very effective.
I'm tired of these (not very) Super Sub type pulse pumps killing batteries, getting blocked and letting the boat fill with water.
There must be a better option....
