Finally getting round to changing my steering rams. New ones bought!
I intend to fill the rams with ATF at installation in order to minimise the amount of bleeding required.
I have read the Workshop manual re bleeding and it of course mentions the Bleeding tool / tank which of course is the way to do it. But I don’t have one.
Being pragmatic, can I just fill the rams, install and then move the leg numerous times to clear any air and top up at the helm if needed (engine off) and once relaunched do the same with the engine running……OR can I only fix it with the Bleed tool kit?
