I replaced the prop-shaft seals on one of my DP-G drives approx. 2 years ago with great success. My other drive is fine, but the seals look a bit tired so i'm going to replace them before the start of the season to be sure.
For the life of me, I cannot remember what 'tool' I used to press in the big seals on the outer shaft as I wouldn't have a socket big enough.
For the inner (smaller) seals, I measure 37mm diameter (allowing approx. 1mm clearance) so that's not an issue - I have a socket for that.
For the outer (bigger) seals, I measure 57mm diameter (allowing approx. 1mm clearance).... I don't think I have a socket that big! Do you guys just use a large socket, or do you have another trick up your sleeve?
PS. The measurements were taken from a friends DP-A drive which is in bits... presume they're the same for DP-G?
