Hi all,

I want to change the down lights in my Fairline 41/43.

Currently they are recessed and have the gold / brass coloured surround, i would like to change them to white plastic and have them "bright white" - all of the options i can find are circa £20 - £30+ each and i need circa 12!

Can anyone advise a cheaper option please

Thanks in advance

I'm trying to find a link to the ones I bought. I thought they were from Amazon. Shallow recessed mount and have a led strip curled round inside. Bright and dimmable easily. What diameter do you need?

I think it is circa 85-90mm across, not sure what the actual ceiling opening size is but no doubt it will correspond to the overall size? It is for 12v power also

Mine are the same as your describe and take G4 bulbs.

I replaced with G4 WARM LED. Whatever you do, don't go for bright / cold LED, gives the feeling of a dentist office.

I spent the few extra €€ per LED and got decent quality.... it was chalk and cheese over the cheap carp you can get for $1 online (They were still only about $3-4 each) - Sorry can't remember the link, it was a long time ago.

You're looking for the right Kelvin (colour) and Lumen (brighness) IIRC - LED's aren't my strong point. JFM is the man on this.

Plastic and bright white is not going to look good or give a decent light.

you can get quality led bulbs. I would choose warm white for all other than the deck side lights ( if you have them )

if the originals are in good condition you could update them by having the chromed. It is not expensive (or was t last time o had stuff chromed )
