Now Ellen has retired Sam is our greatest hope in single handed sailing, hence Artemis who have pumped millons into our sport and will only look at English not French skippers have her trying to prove that Artemis isn't as slow as we all know she is, as far as I can see this is the first post on the TJV on this forum and what are we interested in - her having a shower! No wonder the mainstream press don't take sailing seriously.

The thing I like about Sam is that she has a cracking sense of humour - most of the time she has a smile on her face... I don't think we should forget Dee Cafari either, as another "British hope"..

With regard to TJV I've been getting the RSS feeds since before the race started and have been gripped - Hugo Boss hitting something, BT sinking, gales, the racing - hope it keeps up with the excitement levels to the end!

I think Dee is great but if you compare her results to Sam's they speak for themselves) (yes Aviva is beating Artemis in the TJV but the issues with Artemis are well documented and despite the New "management" ripping half the boat out she is still very heavy and slow) some great photos of BT alongside after her epic tow here http://ww1.rtp.pt/acores/?article=11550&visual=3&layout=10&tm=7 I understand they got her to float last night!
