Does anyone know of where I can down load a set of tide tables for Dover for the season to print out and keep on board so I can refer to them when calculating tidal streams, departure times etc. It seems expensive to buy an almanac just to obtain that information.

Thanks everyone, got just what I was after now. Dover Marina Guide site particularly good.
Thanks for the reference to Dover Marina, though 2010 doesn't seem to be online yet. Previous years we have trotted down to the library and photocopied the Dover Pages (is this allowed?) You can get Premier Marina Tide Tables online ( - Brighton, Chichester, Falmouth) and Alderney and Cherbourg are very obliging. Jersey gives you useful offsets from guess where DOVER. St Malo also OK but take care to note in summer it is GMT +2, not +1 as is BST. Have bought enough Reeds to sink a battleship and PBO is £15.99 - can buy 3 bottles of half decent wine for that.

Just found it St Peter Port!

Well, in 2006 the OP wasn't able to log onto Google Play and buy the very useful BOATIE app, which give access to tides for all British and Irish reference ports, basic tidal streams, Shipping Forecast, synoptic charts etc, etc, all for the Sterling equivalent of €6.10, (about £4.75 at this time). No connection, just an occasional user, (i.e. when I'm not on the boat, where my Almamac is:) )
