"4 asylum seekers, believed to be iranian, rescued after drifting in a rubber dinghy for 2 days".
Really?
What are the chances, that in one of the most heavily monitored shipping lanes, someone could not be seen for 2 days, drifting?
Methinks, they were dropped off near the coast.

Looks more like politics to me.
Perhaps the Mods could move it somewhere else?

Take it to the land beyond Dreamtime and the Dead Marshes:

"Dreary and wearisome. Cold, clammy winter still held sway in this forsaken country. The only green was the scum of livid weed on the dark greasy surfaces of the sullen waters. Dead grasses and rotting reeds loomed up in the mists like ragged shadows of long forgotten summers."

Yes, send it to the Brexit Forum. ;-]

Why?

A rescue Hercules back to Iran should have been provided for the poor souls, just dropping them off at the benefits office shows a lack of good old British courtesy and manners.

Where did they originate? If their rubber dinghy said "Avon" on it, would you send them to Bristol?
If you know they originated from Iran why not help the authorities?

They won't get very far at the Jobcentre without a national insurance number. And sufficient years contributions.

Unless you're one of those unfortunate souls who actually believes that everybody why arrives here gets given a house, a job, a suitcase full of cash, and a Ferrari made of solid gold.
