It appears that a scheme to deal with the swell is nearly finalised and it will be completed with the other related works in time for the marina transfer in 2021.

Don't know how accurate it is but heard from a Ramsgate resident today that the new Dover marina is a complete and utter cock up and that they are not able to put boats in there due to the significant wash lifting the boats and smashing them onto the pontoons. They've already started removing the inner dock so those that were in there have had to be relocated in Granville, the consequence of which is the marina is full and there are virtually no spaces left for visitors.

Suggest you phone for a berth before you leave to see if they are gonna be able to squeeze you in.
