Not sure of the spelling, would they be ok to use on a fuel system? I was thinking banjo joints and bleed nuts, I know they are for hydraulic systems. I use them on my sump nuts and they seem fine.

Dowty.

I used them on both Kindred Spirit and Ariam's fuel systems, worked well. In general I reckon hydraulic kit makes a good choice for fuel lines.

I've also used them with no ill effects. If you have a nearby hydraulic repair place (somewhere like Parkers perhaps) they sometimes just give you a handful in exchange for a small contribution to their tea fund.

I use them on my fuel system as a matter of course, only thing that solved the air locks. Engine is 1940something though!

If relatively thick Dowty washers are used instead of thin copper washers on a banjo fitting take care to ensure the banjo bolt is adequately long.

I would much prefer to stick with annealed copper washers.
