Anyone on here use Douglas marine - Preston for berthing, boat storage or repairs? Any comments would be appreciated.
I used Dickies in the past but with them going bust I'm not so sure about using them and having the boat nearer over winter anyway would be handy. Thanks

We looked at them but went, in the end with preston Marina, a bit more expensive but a bit less rough and ready.

I had a look round a couple of winters ago. Most of the boats on the hard were covered in some kind of lichen or moss. Obviously superficial, and no doubt scrubs off but it makes things look shabby

Berthing - it's quite far from the sea, and when you do get there it isn't exactly the straits!

I had the impression it would be a good place for a refit though, everyone I spoke to was pretty friendly, and it seems to be a skilled yard.

Best take a look yourself!
