Hi,

Could anyone explain me in simple words what this expression means ?

"Double Anti-Twist Luff webbing along luff."

I am asking a quote for a drifter which will be mounted on a bowsprit with a flying sail furler.

I need to know if this expression " Double Anti-Twist Luff webbing along luff " means that this drifter will have an anti-twist rope, which is necessary ?

Thanks for all
(and excuse my poor english)

As far as I know there are two ways to make it possible to furl a sail on a flying sail furler.

1) Normal cast thimbles combined with a anti twist (torrosion stiff) rope sewn into the luff
2) Wider timbles that alows for two parallell sets of webbing along the luff of the sail, this will give a somewhat wider part of the sail to furl the sail around.

When I ordered my new code zero the sailmaker adviced 1 for my 55m2 sail
My existing heavy weather flying furling jib is constructed like this and it works fine.
