Hi All,
I have purchased the above and was hoping to launch from Hastings Beach, however I have run into an issue being the vessel does not have Beach Keels so will be wrecked once it's beached and pulled up to its mooring (the first section is pebbles then hard rubber pipes). Can anyone advise what I can put onto the bottom to stop this from being wrecked - someone suggested taking the deck off and installing oak beams - that seems a little excessive. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi. Have you seen the keelguard rubber strip type protectors you can get for keels ? Widely used on boats that need to beach. Life boat ribs etc use them. Look up keelgaurd

You could fit beaching keels on it and it will probably need the deck off to get access for fastening but I don't know why you would as it won't plane once they're fitted; if you want to run off the beach it would make more sense to buy a boat already equipped to do so, it's about as harsh an environment for a boat as there is.
