I know this is most likely NOT the appropriate post location....but I chose it hoping that SOMEONE has an idea or suggestion on where I should be....

I purchased a 2003 Doral 310SE for the "family". We never used the head so nothing ever needed to be considered as far as pump-out or dump.....

I so enjoyed it, I put it into my rental fleet and purchased a 2005 Intrigue. Somehow, I ended up with the EXACT SAME boat with fewer hours....but that is another story....

I digress....

Now, I own two Doral 31 footers and BOTH are stinkin up the slips behind my house. I have read every piece of printed material Doral has on both boats. I have been (almost) everywhere in both and found NO y-valve for pump out...or sea cock for overboard. Anyone out there with advice?

Welcome to the forums!

I take it that you've tried tracing the pipework? And you've positively identified what every through-hull is for? Ditto with all the deck fittings?

we had a vacuflush thing a while back, to empty, you needed a key, you then turned it to run the macerator/emptying pump overboard, it was a right pain, as you had to hold the key against a spring (like when using a starter motor on a car) for about 5mins whilst it emptied, ended up with fingers aching! ......wasnt on a Doral mind you.

Thanks for the Welcome....

I will attempt to take a picture and post the 110/12 panel in the salon....

The owners manual shows "steep" tank, but the actual panel shows macerator in this location.....on both boats. The common thing about this position is both show an overboard discharge icon next to the "macerator" tag....

As far as tanks, I have a fresh water holding tank, grey water and waste. Right now, water shows "E", grey shows "H" and waste shows "F". Each time I engage the macerator is stinks to hell for about a day!!!

It is a vacu-flush. To use the head, I have to turn on the "pressure pump" and the "shower". The "shower" activates a pump on the suck side for the floor in the head and the drain in the vacu-flush.

Under the bottom step leading into the salon, there is the pressure pump and the macerator....as is shows in the manual....but the y-valve shown in the manual is not there....in either boat!

I don't know what the previous owners did, but it seems that even if I go to the marina and get a pump-out, it is only going to draw from one of the tanks...and at this point....I do not know if it is the grey or black water that is in line with the pump-out on the transom.

Here is another weird one....I bought the 310 and loved it. Then, I saw the "new" model (2005) Intrigue....All of the reviews were great, the enhancements were definitely in the right direction.....

I ordered a survey....all good....bought it and had it shipped from CA to FL. Upon arrival, I was shocked to see that it was a 2005 (HIN/MSO/Title) but had none of the "new" model features....

Doral has been of no assistance....won't even respond to e-mail....so now I'm here hoping to get the sheet-out (so to speak!)

Would the grey water go through the macerator? Maybe the black and grey water have seperate sea cocks?

Another thought is the macerator just breaks bits up before it goes into the black water holding tank and both the black and grey tanks have to be pumped out from individual deck fittings.
