@PaulRainbow Thanks for recommending the Dooge rugged tablet and don't mention Adam's downfall or the Holy Crusades. Did you happen to identify a good case or bracket which would make this more secure for use on a flybridge.

I just bought one the other day prior to the thread drift and lock and I am impressed so far to be honest. I have still to connect it to my B&G plotter using the app which I read is plagued with issues.

I am also looking for a decent mount but given its rugged build I dont need a case......I hope

My 2 x Doogee tablets are at the lower helm, so i didn't go for the rugged option, i went for the t20s, very impressed with it. I fixed min to the dash with some 3M dual lock (the white one, not the black one). They are both permanently powered from a dual USB socket behind the dash panel, connected using 90 degree connectors at the tablet end. The connectors are barely visible, makes it a very neat arrangement (if i do say so myself) :giggle:
