Signed contracts (subject to survey etc) on the purchase of a 45` Dutch steel cruiser located in Holland. The boat will stay in Holland till after Xmas when we move to liveaboard status.

Any advise on insurence ?? UK company ? The boat is in a HISWA dealership, safely moored with shore power & security.

I`m sure you guys have experienced Boat / Health insurance issues - any advise gratefully received

Congratulations we move on board on 10th September, House is sold and flights are booked! We kept the same insurers (St Margrets) as the previous owners which made it easy as they already had records for the boat.

We use Insurance Risk and Claims Management Ltd, patward@intonet.co.uk, for our barge. Reasonable rates and have paid up cheerfully following 2 claims this year.
