Hi
I have a Jonhson water pump fitted for supplying domestic hot and cold water. The pump has stopped working all of a sudden. Have checked electrical supply and I have 13v at the connector spades at pump. There is an accumalator fitted in the system as well. How does this system work please and can they be repaired.

if you 'crack' open the outlet from the pump (with power to the pump, natch !) does the pump work ? If YES, then there's a blockage downstream in the system.

Do you have any valves which could have been turned off ? Has the pipework been squashed hard ?

If NO, then the chances are that the pump motor has gone to the great pressure relief ground in the sky. I suppose you could take the pump out and bench test it to see if the motor works at all (it won't hurt to run it dry for a few seconds), but they do have a finite life.

Jabsco has a good site, with loads of exploded diagrams to show how they work, and also a fault finding chart e.g.
http://jabsco.com/products/marine/w...umps/par_max_19_and_29_31x95/iid_29/index.htm

BTW, have you checked the earth for good connectivity; the fuse or RCD for continuity ?
