We are planning on being in the Clyde during the first two weeks of July. Hopefully we will see a few dolphins and porpoise during the cruise. In the last few years I have spotted a few porpoise in Belfast Lough and on one occasion we had them swimming beside us which was an unforgettable experience especially
when we turned and they followed us as they where playing in our bow wave.
Don't know them. I did coastal skipper course with Maritime Connection earlier this year and had a very enjoyable time. Spent the nights before and after the course in a lovely B&B just 10 mins along the road and can give you the details if you want.
Thanks Jim, but deposit paid, and Steve at second wind came recommended by ruthhobson on this forum, and powerskipper on mobo, who is incidently doing her DS Sail with Second Wind in August. I decided that if the women felt that at ease with him, then SWMBO should be able to cope as well.
I think you possibly misunderstood me. It was the details of the B&B I was refering to, not the school. I just thought that if you are traveling a bit, you might need a B&B.
I'm sure that the recomendations you have for second wind are spot on.
Sorry Jim, my mistake. Old man & bruv still live in Glasgow so not to far to come on the Sunday or go back to on the following Friday. Thanks all the same. Might be of use to powerskipper though.
Glad you got sorted out - we're going back in too August/Sept. I'd be interested in the B&B details though. Last time we stayed at The Anchorage (nice food but disco there for the local kids on a Saturday night) then aftyer the week with Steve we stayed at The Tower (?) for a night bit out of town but nice.
FYC Sunday racing at Kip & Largs till late November. We've had an end of season Rothesay muster/PU of the diehards the weekend before Christmas for the past few years. Then the new season begins with the Ne'erday races...
