I have a Dolphin 31 which has today been dried out against a jetty in soft mud. When settled the boat has set backwards with rudder a 1/3 in the mud and bow pointing about 25-30 degrees up. Its the first time I have done this and with the boat having a long wide fin keel I am surprised it has settled this way.
Does anyone know if this is normal for a Dolphin 31 and how to balance it out

better than bows down :D.
why not rig lines from primary winches to the jetty & more weight forrard to allow adjustment as she settles

Hi
I dried my Dolphin out on a firm pebble beach against a quay and she sat there fine.
Maybe there was some firmer ground under the mud at the front edge of your keel causing the stern to sink lower?
