I berth at ECM, so my boat is very dog friendly, please say hello.
Lifeboat pub at the Marina lets em in as do many pubs in west Cowes. Also Egon's cafe (best breakfast in town)is welcoming too.
I'm taking my pup over to the bbq on sunday afternoon, so Alfie could have a new playmate.
In the good old days when East Cowes Marina was really visitor friendly before being built over - and the lovely lady with the yottie friendly cafe was there - there was a good dedicated dog walk by the Southern end of the marina; I wonder if something similar is still there if one asks ?
We berth at EC Marina too and have 3 dogs, in spite of being "built over" it is very visitor friendly. Most pubs on the island are dog friendly, in fact I can't think of one that isn't - make sure you call into the marina office, they have doggy biscuits under the counter...
Thank you all for your replies and recommendations - it looks like we're going to have a rather libacious weekend exploring all those haunts, for Alfie's edification only obviously, it'll be v hard work for Mum and Dad
Re ECM, it's great to hear that they're so doggie friendly. We'll definitely go an introduce him to the office and see how many biccies he can scrounge. I'll also definitely be asking about the walking route - he needs a good run off the lead every day or he tries to climb the mast!
I'll now go and sacrifice a bottle of Leffe to the weather pixie to bring us some more of what we had today.
