Yes, but they have taken the truly gruesome photos of What You Get if You Go Ashore Without One of These In Your Pocket My Boy out of the latest edition.

A friend was Chief Officer on a Liverpool - owned gas ship which had a job lot of Irish cadets on board; they sailed from the southern USA for Brazil. On arrival in Brazil the cadets all fancied a Good Run Ashore so he doled them out with the supersafe prophylactics which they had embarked as stores in the USA.

They all kept them as souvenirs.....guess what other souvenirs he had to deal with on the next passage!

If you read the book it's in the section called Fishermans diseases, It is a rash to the hands caused by a patricular type of curlyweed seaweed. Not nearly as bad as it sounds. Not as bad as raving green monkey disease anyway.
