Dog to Channel Islands

I have a letter from Hampshire County Council regarding the importation of dogs, cats and ferrets, into the UK.
" There are no requirements for animals that move directly within the UK or directly between the UK and the Republic of Ireland or, directly between the UK and the Channel Islands, or directly between the UK and the Isles of Scilly. "
" Dogs and cats must enter the UK using an approved Transport Company and authorised route. "
" The entry points in Hampshire are :- Brittany Ferries, Condor Ferries, in Portsmouth, and Cunard Line in Southampton. "
" Vessels carrying live animals should declare on arrival at the port and to any officials boarding the vessel.
The animal is restrained at all times and kept securely confined within a totally enclosed part of the vessel from which it cannot escape.
The animal does not come into contact with any other animals and,
Is in no circumstance permitted to land. This includes being on deck. "

The appropriate department of Hampshire County Council may be contacted on 01962 833621.
I hope this helps to clarify.
