Dog friendly accommodation in Portugal wanted for a month ashore

We feel like having a month ashore in Portugal with our well behaved dog. Can anyone recommend or know of accommodation we can rent for the month of December in Portugal?

Have a word with Paul at Yachtgrot - http://www.yachtgrot.com/ - he acts as agent for a couple of properties which may well allow dogs. A bit back from the sea though so bikes or car would be good.

We rented for two years on the Algarve and had no problems with dogs with both Brit and Portuguese landlords. Portuguese in particular seem to have few problems with dog ownership, even if the wont allow them in buses or taxis
