Does this look ok..Fairleads/bollard?

From the look of the boat I assume you will fishing with it? many many deployments of anchor, so why not go this way?

or go the whole hog and fit a warping drum, and pull the hook into the bow roller.

This shows a better view as fitted to our previous boat.

saves a lot of work and trouble free! no assistance required.

looks good, but does it not reck the gunnel/walk way. You looked to have a good wide gunnel there, only got maybe a foot width on this one, be a bit awkward under foot.

On our boats both used that system for over ten years, no damage incurred, but if you are not happy to drag across the gunnel, then rig a dog rope and pull the last few feet into the cockpit and then stow the anchor and chain there leaving the warp outboard, then no need to go up the front at all. Also on a 20ft boat you can do without more weight in the nose.

this way you can distribute the weight

My experience with small boats is that they could do with some weight in the front

re: storing anchor in locker.

Best to have wooden (?) chocks the anchor can sit in and be tied down, otherwise, sure as eggs is eggs, when you hit some bouncy water the sharp bits of the anchor will chew their way through the hull GRP.. Have you decided on an anchor yet ?

Yes i believe so to, i have spoke to a few chaps who have or had these boats and they need a fair bit of ballast. Cant see 25kgin the bow a killer.

Think i have but then i can have a choice as to where we trailer the boat to. Main is a Bruce/Plough type.

Wayne, I have only just made the connection that you are in fact the builder of Flower Pot. I have followed the Flower Pot thread for awhile, believe me, you don't need our advice your work speaks for itself!

I was thinking of lining the locker with rubber floor matting so safe the hull from a good bashing, It will be bad with the boat being trailerd.
