Yippee - finally back in the water after what seems an age. Decided to go with the Jotun antifouling again as it's lasted 2 seasons on the East Coast - new colour looks mint, eh ?

After following the various "prop" threads I also decided that the "shiney prop" strategy was the way to go - look at that beauty.

So, cutless bearing done, Volvo seal replaced, coupling re-aligned, antifouling done, hull waxed and back in today.

That's why we love boating !!

Nice outfit (that's fishing talk)!

You guys are obviously pumped at the beginning of your season.
If your Jotun has lasted for two seasons, the fouling must be fairly minimal, therefore your shiny prop not only looks impressive, it will most likely stay fairly clean.

Anyway, tight lines (more fishing talk).

You fishing blokes have got a strange language! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wire brush on my drill (very carefully) to get the worst of the dross off, then start at 200 grit WnD and end up at 600 grit. 2 coats of metal polish and very aching arms. It was worth it though.
