Does DVLA relate my car registration to SSR?

I would be grateful if anyone can tell me whether this could happen...
My car is registered with the DVLA and they have the legal power to seize it, if for example I default on a parking ticket, forget to renew my insurance or whatever, they have "Draconian" powers to take my car off me for what might be an innocent mistake,SORN is a minefield for example.
SSR is also administered by the DVLA. So could they take my yacht if I owed a parking ticket, or my road tax disc went out of date?
I want to get SSR to be legal in Europe, but I do occasionally get parking tickets on the car although my speeding days are over. Is there a crossover between the two bits of the DVLA and do they regard my yacht as something they can seize or arrest for a motoring offence?
This question is seriously worring me and I sincerely hope the answer is a big fat "no",but I have no trust of these new Orwellian agencies...
Thanks for putting my mind at rest-- or alternatively warning all those on SSR! cheers Jerry.

your car and boat are owned by the ssr/dvla that's how they can take it.
Deregister it.

So, should folks bring their daughters around to their nearest coastguard station for deflowering then, instead of their local dvla?

You have to book ahead for an appointment. Recent Health & Safety regulations require specialist equipment and an appropriately trained and certificated person to be available.

Not wishing to cast aspersions, but most of the staff I have seen at Coastguard Stations would prolong the state of virgo intacta. :D

I think it's the uniforms - uniforms are normally considered flattering, yours never seems to do justice to the wearer. No idea why, just not an impressive uniform. Perhaps it needs more scrambled egg & a few medals? :D

Oh god, don't encourage the "more scrambled egg" brigade, we already have enough people wandering around looking like admirals of the fleet, yet have never sat in an ops room...

Perhaps if our uniforms were bought from a company which could make two identically size-labelled garments to actually be the same size, it might be a start...
