Does anyone make a roller shutter style hatch cover?

I'm thinking of something like is seen on a roll-top desk but flat and water-proof. They make pick-up truck tops like this but they are too big and not marine grade.

I have seen them vertical, but not horizontal. e.g.

It would lend itself to a neat design solution incorporating the instruments.

I've had a look round now you've told me the generic name and found a place that does 2.5m strips for self assembly. Several manufacturers say they are fine for horizontal use.
Sadly it is only stainless steel effect plastic but as the extrusions are hollow it looks as though I will be able to slide stainless steel flat bar into each extrusion to give enough strength to be as secure as any boat hatch can be.
With a little ingenuity I should also be able to make them weather-proof.
If I can find real stainless steel sections all the better.
But the seed is planted now so I'll report back once I've knocked something up.

Whitelighter had this arrangement for his main hatch on his W24. Factory fit, part stainless part alloy. Was the work of Satan.
