It seems the double whammy got him - very unfortunate and very sad indeed.

We must do our utmost to stay on board, LJs are very much secondary.

Yes, I did know George. Not very well, but I was getting to know george and the guys he used to sail with as they all sail from my marina.
I had been invited to go out sailing with them by George, but alas, I hadnt had the chance so far this year.

I had sailed over to Burnham the same weekend, but I didnt know they wre there. And to think, I was sailing back on the same day, but from what I can make out, They had left for home earlier than I did.

He seemed like a great man, and will be sorely missed by everyone at Gillingham.

It does make you wake up to the dangers of what we do when we take out boats out. We get complacent and very gung-ho... when infact, we should see that as the biggest danger of all...
