Does anyone have an outboard they want to sell ?

Would a big Seagull be any good? (Noisy one not one with wings!!)

I know my dad has a couple in his garage up on the East Coast.

We are up there this weekend to visit, I will see if he still has them and if he has any plans to sell them..

Oh yes, absolutely perfect - and just the right image for Howard !

I used to have one on the back of my Caprice 18' sailing cruiser back in the early 70's (when you , Apollo, were a mere slip of a lad !).

I have access to a large seagull ( not the great black back one that lives on the weir and eats ducklings mind , although i'd like to .... ) , but have tried to avoid this route .....

I have access to an old bashed up Suzuki 4 , short shaft with no petrol cap ( the usual nonsense ) , but ideally would like a half decent Japanese job.

( Not fussy am i ? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

Thanks all so far !

Rich , i can order any outboard at trade price , you know that .... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just haven't got enough cash to buy a 4 or 5 new even at trade .... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I can understand that, i think thats why the Seagulls are in the old man's garage, he has a small yacht as well and a slightly more up to date Japanese model of some kind to propel it.

Looking forward to some good weather Saturday for a spot of sailing in the Blackwater and tutting as the motor boats fly past... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Rock and Roll !!!

Just picked one up on Ebay for a ton !!!

Old skool multi stripe Mariner ( the good ones with the Yamaha powerhead ) ...

Will go and pick it up on Sunday ! Dead chuffed now ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

VicS will find you a manual for it if you ask him nicely /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Good advice ! First thing on monday once i've fetched it back is to give it a good going over . Apparently it's been serviced each season and had a new bottom end last year , so hopes are high for a good 'un.

I'll check my cds and see if they cover the 4hp models. If it doesn't they were a small number of £ on ebay.

6-15hp cd certainly, cant find any others at the moment but happy to send bits of that disk if you need them given that some procedures will be fairly common.
