Just to cheer you all up, it seems that NZ is slowly getting back to work after the holiday break. Temperature mid 20's but its been a wet summer so far.
I cant decide whether I would rather be working here or retired there.

A week ago the haze from the Sydney fires was affecting us on the other side of the Tasman Sea. The poor devils have my sympathy.

well I am still working -have been through most of way through christmas etc.,
try and get it all done before half way through year so I can take rest of year off.

Yes, sail a Cobra 850 from Brightlingsea with wife and rugrats...been sailing here since I was 5...bloody hell, that is frightening...40 years!! You should move round from Titchmarsh...far nicer sailing out of the Colne!!

I sail a Westerly Conway soop I also have a mooring in the Walton Channel, This year we (my wife and I) plan to spend summer swinging off that. Glad to hear that you your kids sail its a great way to bring them up.
I started sailing when i was 15 at navy training schoolway way back in 1959 (am I that old? scary) . We should meet up for a chat sometime.
