Dodgy boat or a fun plaything?

neat wee vessel. Those mucky bits all seem superficial, but with steel there's always the question of condensation and rust.

She looks as if you could have simple, uncomplicated, and slow fun with her. The mast dropping arrangement means you will access to lots of intriguing backwaters.

Well the fun and mischief maker in me is tempted to say just do it... however it would probably cost at least £4k to get an engine fitted and it would be useless in Thames-town without one.

Under sail I doubt you'd get more than about 3-3.5 knots on a good day, but it would be almost impossible to sail on the Thames (although it would be a lot of fun on the broads -even though the broads can be as twisty and turny as the Thames, it is big and flat so the wind tends to come from a more predictable direction wherease the valleys, trees, tall buildings etc funnel it every which way but loose on the river)

... mind you when did logic come into a boat-buying decision?:D:rolleyes:
