Dodecanese Tips Please

Vyv, Melody,
What is the weather like now? We are trying to do some planning for when to take holidays next year. The boat is now based in Port Iasos over on the Turkish coast north of Bodrum, so only 35 miles away.
Peter

PS Back in England it is a dark dank awful autumn day.

I am sitting in Leros in a pair of shorts only, very warm. The temperature has been around this for the past few days. Wind is currently light NW with the promise of a blow on Sunday and Monday. Days are short though, light at 0730 and dark by 1900. Sea temperature 24, still nice for swimming.

As you can read in the thread some of the remote tavernas are closed but the busier ones on the bigger islands still open

Thanks. Green with envy. May have to trot off to the tanning parlour to top up the fading tan from a summer spent afloat.

Still nice and warm during the day but I'm finding I need a few layers at night (have got too used to hot climate now). One of my crew swam today but it's too cold for me personally.

By thwas, the tanker left this am and it was lovely and peaceful until a stone-breaker started! Can imagine it would be a lovely place normally.

Not sure what we're doing tomorrow yet Vyv. One of the yachts has headed off South and the other three are going to look at opens in the morning as two websites showing weak southern is. I'll let you know.

Southern end of the Peloponnese , still hot 27c yesterday 29c the day before , still swimming , hardly any boats , just waiting for the week end / Monday blow to come thought before turning the Corner and spending some time in the Saronic and Eastern Peloponnese , let's hope the weather stays warm .
