Search the web, its reckoned to be accurate. The only reason it isnt called Belfield and sold yearly is because they refused to pay the Admiralty for a phenomenon caused by God. So they used the rest of the worlds available info which is mainy free as it was paid for by the public from the taxed purse.
versions after wxtide32 are hobbled due to Admiralty action.
Just to continue the fred rift which I inadvertently started - Belfield cost £29 for 3 years and includes a rudimentary route planner. I think that's reasonable. The fact that the height of the tide is shown with the time as you run the cursor along the tidal curve makes it very easy to see when leaving a marina is do-able.
Now - are we walking and when?
PS on 16th Feb I shall be in warm sunshine in South Africa not thinking of you /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
still vote for the weekend of 26th Jan.... easiest for me (not that i'm being selfish or anything!), and don't really care what the state of the tides is... still plenty of lovely places to go for a walk.... and its nicely mid winter break..... and ideal for shaking off those 'post Christmas, crikey will January pay-day ever turn up blues'

Saturday 12th January seems quite good with a fair bit of mud about although we might need stilts to get over the causeway. An East Coast first for a volunteer ?
I would be happy with this date myself as most seem to be available.

p.s. Thinking of a 10am start from a car park (unknown at present) so we can get back along the sea wall in reasonable light (and warmth).
I didn't realise the public were allowed on the island willy nilly (dodgy phrase) - I'd like to go there. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'd like someone to walk in front of me across the causeway too /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Good man, well volunteered.

Bringing this back to the top for some decisions to be made
Where ?
When ?
Who's going ?
Who's got my mud waders ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Roger thinks that it should be 12th January and I second that.
Can I recommend the public car park (free) at Heybridge Basin? Trying to park further back in Heybridge would make it pretty awkward to get to Goldhanger and back in daylight.....
Whoops /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif just realised I haven't stated my position , provisionally , it's a yes from us up here in the frozen North of the region /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sounds good. Will look into it further and see if we can make the walk last around 2 hours each way.
Will assume we can all do about 2 knots to windward.
