Do you prefer a wheel or a tiller?

I had a 24' boat with a tiller, a 30' boat with a small wheel mounted on the forward bullhead of a centre cockpit and now have a 38' centre cockpit boat with a large wheel mounted centrally. Each was/is right for each boat and I wouldn't change any of them...

+1 . It takes all sorts. I've sailed a 44 ft (27ton) Pilot cutter with a tiller. Absolutely OK. Ditto a 42 ft modern (year old) sloop with twin wheels and a go faster open transom.. OK as well. Our own boat is 35ft with a tiller- no probs I'm aware of. Don't get hung up over the kit. We also met a very modern race boat recently, twin tillers!!
