Do you follow these sailing video bloggers - andwhat do you think of them

deepest apologies

I fear I am more sensitive to the odour of a cat than most

it is a bit the way some parts of my house smell okay to me but other people can smell the Labrador

so it is not the litter tray as such - just the hum

that aside I think you guys do a great job of the films

they allow me so experience sailing in warm clear water

something I have yet to achieve

and they make me realise that big boat = big bills

well done the both of you

your presentation is really natural - you invite people onto your boat as friends

brilliant and engaging stuff I reckon

D

Hey Dylan, thanks for the kind comment. I have forwarded your apology on to Millie, who is considering her reply ;)

Thanks for this post. You just earned yourself a new patron!

Wow and double wow! Thank you, Richard, that's fantastic. We appreciate the gesture. We're now just ten dollars away from that 'blooper reel'. Next Patreon episode goes out next Sunday, but I am travelling back to Thailand next week so there may be a little delay.

Once again, thank you.

I'm slightly surprised that Chuck and Laura have not been mentioned yet. Intrepid small boat sailors, and now liveaboards who departed Hawaii for Alaska on their Albin Vega "Lealea"

Dozens and dozens of well made films on Youtube here, "Cruising LeaLea"

Don't expect anything too exciting but its easy viewing..............a bit addictive in a funny sort of way

Dylans blog is a recorded history of the UK from the water. I think not only is it important now but will be in the future long after he has sailed into his last sunset (sorry Dylan). To me Dylan is an eccentric but the best kind and a man that makes me proud to be British.. well done Dylan. Your videos will stand the test of time where as I doubt Bikini girls will.

+1

Dylan changed my ideas about how to enjoy coastal sailing and I've had a great time as a result.

There's no shortage of videos with flesh in on the Internet and you can even open one next to your sailing videos if you like. I'd rather see a shapely keel.

Two other watchables are Guidos Sailing Channel and the occasional videos by the family Fourlyons on the junk rigged 'Terrapin'.
The former for his matter of fact commentary and refreshing views ...' the thumb has split down the middle but I've bound it back together ....' ,although he's gone for the jugular and made series 3 accessible only by subscription.
There are only 4 or 5 so far of the 'Terrapin' series but they show the summer cruises of a rather skilled family who designed and built their own junk rigged vesssel, more of a ship than a yacht.

this a brutal capitalist game

first you have to buy your video camera with your own money - then you go (at your own expense) to places people might be interested in. The in your own time you make films that some people will watch

only then can you ever so gently ask if they would like to consider the remote possibility that they might contribute to the next camera and next destination

Comrade Dylan,
In my mind I live in a semi- communist state where wealth should be shared around.

Done Jumble. I think I could get enough from that on E-bay to buy a video camera.

Nobody wants 'em, particularly since the one I have is an early non-reflex version. Every so often I get it out, wind it up and press the button, because it is without doubt and by a very long way the most beautifully engineered thing I have ever encountered.

Thanks for this. I have started watching and really like them. One trip they are doing as a delivery down the west coast of Canada and they come across this abandoned fishing lodge complete with a dozen or so boats with outboards, just lying there in the wilderness! Everything is still inside, reminds me of the Marie Celeste! Williwaw part 4 if you want to look.
