It is that time of the year. The watches and Clocks have to be put forward I say again FORWARD by one hour tonight before you go to bed.

Well thanks for spoiling all the fun we could have had laughing at those who forgot and find it's an hour later than they thought. Now they won't miss their flights, trains or buses. You really are a spoilsport.

Not necessary here, every clock in the house is controlled by the DCF77 German longwave time signal radio station and automatically adjusts to the correct local time.It is that time of the year. The one exception is mounted on the main cabin bulkhead on the boat in Italy; an 8-day brass chronometer that I wind every week when living aboard. As soon as I arrive in the Spring I wind and set it - from my Casio radio-controlled, solar-powered wrist-watch.
No more the tyranny of fumbling around with all those clocks twice a year.
Now, now, that cannot be true. I distinctly observed my neighbour hefting his garden sundial round on Sunday morning ... seven and half degrees clockwise, I think he said.I agree, I have no problems with my Acme EH4J solar-powered sundial either.![]()
