Do liferafts have locator beacons in them?

As the title really.
I inflated an old liferaft to use as a paddling pool and less than an hour later a search-and-rescue helicopter flew over.
Please tell me that’s just a coincidence!

If it did it will have been an optional extra and it should have been quite obvious when you inflated it

It would be an EPIRB if it had one fitted and you’d see it, they’re quite chunky old beasts unlike modern PLBs which can be pretty dinky.
