Do I smell, is my cash not good enough..

Yes, we have wi fi, of sorts. Its particularly slow though.
At this particular moment, im in my bunk on the internet via ipad, two other team members are watching some **** on tv. All whilst steaming at 14 knots towards Peterhead....
(have been doing research in to a 4meg satelite conection, not bad for 1500 quid... Per month.... Considering the 20 plus thousand dollar bill the company gets on its vsat sytem....
 
Buying a boat

it is funny Australian businesses have a reputation for ignoring the potential customer. Apparently this is inherited from our UK heritage.
Anyway around here fly in fly out is the buzz word for workers like yourself. Mostly in mining. You work 2 weeks at about 12hrs per day then have 2 weeks off. I met a lady a while back who was commuting from Tasmania to Northern west Australia on this basis. About 12hrs of flights each way. It seems the companies are so desperate they don't blink at a 4000km commute.
So here is my idea. Tell your employer your new address is now Perth. Hopefully they won't mind the 20000km commute that they pay for. You get a good range of boats available but mostly really good boating weather. Mild winter, at the moment horrible temp range 4 to 19 and sun sets at 5.30 PM ah but summer that is good when it comes. You might want to buy a boat in UK for the summer there of course. olewill

Just come through Perth and onto broome then choppered out to my ship, really nice place , next port of call is Darwin , your right the commute these big companies have to fly their skill base all over the world , took me three days of travelling south coast of uk to the ship , much nicer than north sea !!

Bloody aussies have stitched up there labour markets like a kipper.
I can not work there, as not in the aussie diving union. Aussie diving union will not let me join, cos im not aussie...
If the rmt did this in the uk it would be classed as rascist....

yeah most of the permanant crew were kicked off of here apparently when this vessel came to Oz ... personally I think its a great way of ensuring plenty of work for the country and keeping out all the free loaders :-) but thats just my opinion

what can i say, im here (sunny , no clouds ,hot ) your there ( errr wet windy and **** ) we spent all winter in Barents sea or in North sea , as coxswain i was bored senseless !

now where did I put my hat its getting a little too sunny
