DIY Transom Shower Install

If that switch matches the dash then fine, but otherwise I wouldn't use it. It has merely a "splashproof cover". You'd be much better using an IP-whatever proper waterproof switch like Carling. 99% of boats use Carling switches on the dash anyway, so it would match perfectly (you just buy the actuator to match the style already used on your boat, and you can buy actuator with a shower or tap symbol, and a fixed or flashingLED too if you want). Carlings are seriously waterproof. Could even mount it on transom with no waterproofing problems (sunseeker do, for their up/down platforms, for example)

You want Contura V series 2,3,4 or 5, depending on how your dash has already been done.

Good marine electrical sources sell them all. RS components have a limited stock.Chandlers etc rarely carry the whole range because the range is so large it consists of too many line items for anyone but a specialist supplier. But you can google for a supplier.

It's good to get to know the Carling range if you do your own boat mods, becuase it's essential to use them if you want your mods to look original
