DIY outboard harness?

That's much heavier than my 3.5hp Johnson but for the principle I used two IKEA straps, one circling the front and one the back, of the tank, engine and shaft, with a third section at the top linking through both, which keeps them from slipping off their respective ends. This is tied off close, pulling both section together and with a loop for raising and lowering.

Rarely bother with the outboard as oars quicker over shortish distances.
However, when I do our DIY harness made from a length of sail tie webbing and tackle from a bit of line and couple of spare blocks makes fitting and recovery on the stern gantry easy. 3.5 Evenrude two stroke outboard so not too heavy.
Looks a bit 'agricultural' but works and came out of the bosn's locker so zero cost.
 
I just use a length of 12mm line which goes under the back of the engine , crosses diagonally over the top, under the front, diagonally across the top and then the two tails are reef knotted. Lifting clip attaches around both turns where they cross over on top of the engine, no plastic buckles to fail and much stronger than webbing.
 
Just been looking at ways of lifting the Seagull on and off the dinghy using the boom and the mainsheet tackle. Just planning on tying a piece of old 6mm rope round it .
