Just watched the Beeb lunchtime news with a puff piece on our brave winter sportsters. Probably 'cos I'm a sad old git, the first thing that struck me was the lassie who gets to carry the UK flag in the opening ceremony was pictured waving one stuck to its pole upside down. Hopefully it wasn't the one that is to be carried tonight but surely it can't be too difficult for the PR drones, the camera man, sound man, interviewer or even a bystander to notice.
