Disposing of Anchors . . .

OK. After all these anchor threads I'm convinced. I've got to dispose of my collection of fisherman anchors . . . any bids?

And while we're at it, can you identify the location?

I think it's a place called La Azoia (near Mazarron)in Southern Spain, They are used to hold down the Tuna Farm nets and when they are in the process of moving to new location haul the Anchors ashore.

You can often see lots of them there in the small Harbour

I'd guess at S. Spain too. Barbate at the west end of the Gib Straits had a similar looking 'anchor park'

Very good - right area.

This particular park was in Tarifa, and there were three such parks around the harbour.
