So, MCA and police may get sniffy if you took <u>your</u> old flares to them for disposal. How would they react if you took in some flares you found washed up on the beach? They might tell you off for touching them, but they certainly wouldn't tell you to take them away would they? It strikes me that there is a bit of a loophole in the 'law' here. If they take flares that don't have an identifiable owner, they should take any flares.

So there's the answer. Tip them out onto the beach and call the police to collect them. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

When I asked the man at SBS last September, on the HM Coastguard stand, he said take them to the local Coastguard station, they'll take them. Haven't tried it yet though.
