So, MCA and police may get sniffy if you took <u>your</u> old flares to them for disposal. How would they react if you took in some flares you found washed up on the beach? They might tell you off for touching them, but they certainly wouldn't tell you to take them away would they? It strikes me that there is a bit of a loophole in the 'law' here. If they take flares that don't have an identifiable owner, they should take any flares.
