Dislexia and Boat Names

Close, but no banana: Sea Essay was a Rival 34 owned by the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA). This was mid 80s, well before the CSA was set up; they probably have something a bit newer now. She was out most of the year, taking newbies off to be seasick for a week - probably why you heard her so much..
 
Couldn't believe it when we bought a second hand MF805 with the name "La Maitresse de la Mer" - sounded real swanky until Yarmouth coastguard asked me to spell it phonetically, then the guys at Mutford Lock used to call me up on the radio as "The Mattress"

If I wasn't so superstitious I'd have changed it - I love the idea of Titan Uranus.
