Disconnecting hose connector

Hello folks

I fitted the attached as my calorofier bypass before putting antifreeze in the water plumbing. Now trying to disconnect the bypass so I can refill the tanks...and struggling!

I (over)used a heat gun on one side, it melted through and I have cut an inch off. There's enough left on the hose to refit to the calorofier, so no problem there.

The other side is quite tight lengthwise. I don't really want to lose an inch. Any tips for shifting it? I have tried heat gun (gently) and wiggling it, twisting it, singing to it, you name it.

You need the release tool that fits round the pipe and slides into the end of the connector to open the grip claws.
Try a piece cut from a plastic bottle wrapped around the pipe.

Search for Hep20 key or HepKey. I much prefer pushfits which don't need a key for this very reason.
