Disconnecting Battery

Hi

I am currently restoring a wooden boat, I have disconnected the batteries, do I need to do anything with the old solar charger as it is still connected and the light is on? Might be a silly question..

Cover it over and make sure that the leads cannot touch as they will still be live and could cause a fire!

Many thanks, I thought that might be the case so I covered it when I disconnected.

it does raise the question of what I do with the solar unit during the lengthy restoration?

Put it somewhere where it can't get damaged, of course.
