Anyone know the diameter of the dipstick tube on a TAMD41 please? I’m about to buy an oil extractor and want to make sure the probe will fit ok.

Fitted 61 and 63, can’t imagine a 41 any different

Shirley oil extractors (Pela and Sealey types) come with a range of tube diameters ? Mine did. I have never heard of anyone being unable to extract warm oil bcs of a restricted tube dia. Length of the extractor pipe on the Pela is about a metre.

Interesting, thanks. I hadn’t considered a powered pump, I was thinking of the Pela type vacuum pumps. The one I was interested in has 8mm/10mm od probes. Does the powered pump work well?

Cheers. The Sealey pump I’m looking at has 8mm/10mm pipes, I want to make sure they’ll fit in the hole before I click ‘buy now’.

First had a cheap one, wore that out.
used this one this week. Worked fine.
Had one used a 6 litre vacuum but one a 20 litre sump was constantly having to empty it

On my volvo 41 I just connect the pipe to the top of the dipstick tube and pump away .
